Information: Second Lieutenant James Joyce Beasley, 6th Batt. Royal Irish Fusiliers, who is reported killed in action at the Dardanelles, was a son of Mr. G. Beasley, Main Street, Limavady, Co. Londonderry. He was educated at Foyle College and Trinity, where he was a member of the Officers' Training Corps and rowed in the senior eights. He was in the second year of his medical course when on the outbreak of the war he joined the Royal Irish Fusiliers.
