Information: Captain Kingsmill William Jones M.D., R.A.M.C., attached to 1st Batt. East Kent Regiment, has been mentioned in despatches for distinguished service on August 9th and 10th at Hooge, when during the entire day and night he was attending to the wounded in the front trenches, constantly exposing himself to shell and rifle fire. He was twice slightly wounded, but stuck to his work, and it was entirely owing to his efforts that the crater was successfully evacuated of wounded. Captain Jones is the only surviving son of Mrs. Perceval Jones, Glenmore, Orwell Park, Rathgar, and was educated at Trinity College.
