Information: Second Lieutenant C.E.S. Dobbs, Army Service Corps, has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches and awarded the Military Cross. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Dobbs, Knockrath, Greystones, and great grandson of the late Major-General Dobbs. He was educated at Marlborough and Trinity College, Dublin. He joined the A.S.C. Special Reserve in January, 1914, and on August 4th was attached to the 1st Division of the Expeditionary Force, receiving his commission in November.
