Information: Second Lieutenant Walter Leslie Orr, 4th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed in action in Flanders in his 25th year, was the youngest son of the late Mr. F. Harman Orr and Mrs. Orr, Crosthwaite Park, Kingstown. He was educated at Avoca School, Blackrock, and Trinity College. He subsequently went to Malay to join his brother in rubber planting, but was invalided home in March, 1914. On the outbreak of the war he immediately volunteered and received a commission in the Royal Irish Rifles. He left for the front in July last and was attached to the 2nd Batt. Royal Irish Rifles when he fell in action about September 25th.
