Information: Captain Edward Thomas Milton, 13th Northumberland Fusiliers, was killed in action at Loos on September 26th, 1915, in his 28th year. He was educated in Belfast, and received his training as Marine Engineer with Messrs. Workman, Clark and Co, Belfast. He was serving as engineer in the Prince Line, Newcastle, when war was declared and immediately answered his country's call by enlisting in the Northumberland Fusiliers. He received his commission in September and was promoted Captain in the following November. He was a son of Mr. E.J. Milton, 27 West Avenue, Gosforth.
