Information: Lieutenant James MacLaughlin, 4th Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers, fell in action at the battle of Ypres, while gallantly defending a dangerous position, on the 25th May, 1915. He was the elder son of the late Mr. P. J. MacLaughlin and Mrs. MacLaughlin, Brackloon, Rathgar Road, Dublin. Previous to joining the Army he was a brilliant student of Belvedere College and the National University, and at the outbreak of war resigned a lucrative post in Chili, to rejoin his regiment.
