Information: Second Lieutenant Sydney Vernon Young, Royal Engineers, was killed in action in Flanders on September 25th last. He was the elder son of Professor Sydney Young, F.R.S., Trinity College, and Mrs. Young, Raglan Road, Dublin. Lieutenant Young was educated at Charterhouse and passed into Woolwich in 1913, He was gazetted to the Royal Engineers in November last and after seven months at Chalmam was sent to France, where he fell in action in his 19th year.
