Information: Captain Anketell Moutray Read, Northamptonshire Regiment, was killed in action in France on September 25th. He was the youngest son of the late Colonel John Moutray Read and Mrs. Read, Wentworth, Wicklow. Captain Read was educated at Westward Ho College, from whence he passed direct to Sandhurst, was gazetted to the 20th Gloucester Regiment.
