Information: Second Lieutenant William Arthur Birmingham, 6th Royal Irish Fusiliers, was killed in action in the Dardanelles on August 10th last. He was a member of an old Co. Galway family, his grandfather being the late Mr. Blake Birmingham, of Dalgan. Lieut. Birmingham obtained his commission in January last, and after three hard days' fighting he was badly wounded on the morning of August 10th, but gallantly held on until he was killed.
