Information: Captain Francis John Brodigan, 1st Gloucester Regiment, who was killed in action on May 9th last, was the only son of the late Colonel Brodigan, of Piltown House, Drogheda, and was in his 31st year. He joined the Gloucester Regiment from the Militia as 2nd Lieutenant in 1902, and obtained his Captaincy in 1912. Captain Brodigan's father had been in the same regiment and served with distinction in the Crimean War.
