Information: Lieutenant John Errol Burke, 5th Battalion Connaught Rangers, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on August 21st last. He was the youngest son of the late Mr. Dominick F. Burke, R.I.C., and Mrs. Burke, 5 Royal Terrace, Kingstown, and was a member of an old Co. Galway family. Lieutenant Burke resigned his position in the Royal Bank of Ireland in order to respond to his country's call. He was a keen sportsman and was a member of the Dublin Bay Sailing Club, the Water Wag Club and the Lansdowne Football Club.
