Second Lieutenant Owen F. Goodbody, R.E., was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Goodbody, Pembroke House, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. He was educated at Bootham School, York, and afterwards passed through the Engineering School, Trinity College, Dublin. Lieutenant Goodbody obtained a commission in the Royal Engineers on November 17th, 1914, and sailed with the 13th Division last June to the Dardanelles, where he contracted enteric, of which he died at Alexandria, on October 20th, 1915.
