Information: Captain H.W. Wilson, 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment, fell whilst gallantly leading a charge against the Germans. Captain Wilson was a cousin of Mr. Alexander Donaghy, Railway View, Ballymoney, and had a distinguished military career. He had been through the Boer War, receiving the King's and Queen's medals with four clasps, also the D.C.M., and was three times mentioned in despatches. In South Africa he fought with the Mounted Infantry. He had received his Captaincy a short time before he fell in action between the 2nd and 4th of October last.
