Information: Private Cecil Keller, was officially reported “missing” at Suvla Bay on August 16th. He has since been reported killed on that day, shot in a bayonet charge. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Keller, of 9 Conquer Hill, Dollymount. Though only just 18 years of age at the time of his death, he had already seen much of the world, as an apprentice in the merchant service, his voyages having included a prior visit to the Dardanelles. Private Keller was an old Castleknock College boy.
