Information: Captain Edward Sherlock, R.F.A., is the youngest son of Mr. David Sherlock, D.L., Rahan, King's Co. Captain Sherlock was in the Reserve of Officers, having belonged to the Wicklow Artillery. He left some years ago for the East, where he was appointed engineer on a rubber plantation in Lower Perak. As soon as the war broke out he volunteered for active service and returned at his own expense. He was very soon sent to France and put in charge of an ammunition train, where he did very good work. He was afterwards attached to the Field Artillery, and was through the action at Loos, being mentioned in Sir John French's despatches and awarded the Military Cross for distinguished service.
