Information: Lieutenant H.G.O. Downing, 2nd Batt. Royal Irish Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches, is a son of Lieut. Colonel Downing, D.S.O., 8th Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Lieut. Downing was taken prisoner after the action at Le Pilly in October, 1914, and has been at Crefeld ever since.
