Information: Lieutenant A. B. L. Vincent, 3rd Dragoon Guards, has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches for gallant and distinguished conduct in the field. He is the only son of Colonel Vincent, Summer Hill House, Castleconnell, by his marriage with Miss Baxendale, only child of the late Mr. Birley Baxendale, of Blackmore End, Welwyn, Herts. Lieut. Vincent was educated at Cheltenham College and passed from there into Sandhurst. He obtained his commission in 1914 and has been at the front since October of that year. In May 1915, he held a trench for eleven hours until relief came, and was in command of his squadron, all the other officers having been killed or wounded. Lieut. Vincent is in his 20th year.
