Information: Captain J. T. C. Moore-Brabazon, who has been mentioned in despatches, was born in 1884 and educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was one of the pioneers of motoring, and the first Irishman and Britisher to fly in England, thus winning the Daily Mail £1,000 prize for the first Britisher to fly a mile.
