Information: Sergeant E.F. Eager, Royal Irish Regiment, who has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches, is the son of Mrs. M. Eager, Lahard Cottage, Killarney. He joined the Royal Irish Regiment in 1908, and in 1911 was promoted sergeant. He went to France in August, 1914, and was in several severe engagements, including Ie Pelly, where his regiment suffered so severely. He has been recommended for conspicuous bravery and distinguished conduct in the field. His two brothers are also serving, one being at present s prisoner in Limburg,
