Information: Lieutenant Colonel Horace S. Sewell, D.S.O., 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards, brother of Miss Sewell, The Ivy House, Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, has been twice mentioned in Sir John French's despatches and awarded the D.S.O. Lieutenant Colonel Sewell was born in 1881, and was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge, from whence he obtained his commission at the time of the South African War, and subsequently served in Nigeria from 1907 to 1910. For his services in the present war Lieut. Colonel Sewell has also received the Cross of the Legion of Honour.
