Information: Lieutenant Vincent MacNamara, Royal Engineers, was killed by a gas explosion at Suvla Bay on November 29th, 1915. He was the son of Mr. P. J. MacNamara, Analore, Blackrock, Co. Cork, and was educated at the University College, Cork, where he passed through the Engineering course with distinction. He was also a prominent football player, and played in international matches. He had been six months in Gallipoli, and had been through many severe engagements, including Suvla Bay.
