Information: Second Lieutenant James Clarke Stokoe, 14th Battalion Manchester Regiment, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on November 11th, 1915, in his 22nd year. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. James Clarke Stokoe, L.D.S., M.R.C.S., and of Mrs. Stokoe, Hillside Terrace, Newry, and was educated at Newry Model School and Manchester Grammar School, and subsequently entered Oxford, where he was a member of the O.T.C. He received his commission in March last, and in September left for the Dardanelles, being attached to the 11th Manchester Regiment.
