Information: Lieutenant James Augustus Stewart, 2nd Batt. Royal Munster Fusiliers, who was killed in action on May 9th, 1915, while gallantly leading his platoon in an attack at Rue du Bois, Kichebourg, France, was the only son of the late Mr. James Augustus Stewart, Buncrana, County Donegal, and nephew of the ninth baronet of Fort Stewart, County Donegal. He was twenty years old and was gazetted from Sandhurst to the 2nd Batt. Royal Munster Fusiliers in August, 1914.
