Information: Second Lieutenant Richard Clive McBryde Broun, 6th Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers, was the second son of Captain W. L. Broun, Colstoun, Park Road, Beckenham, Kent. Lieut. Broun was three years on board H.M. training ship Worcester, and then went one year as cadet on board the training ship Medway. In 1911 he went to Ceylon and belonged to the Ceylon Mounted Rifles, and on the outbreak of war came to Egypt with the Ceylon Contingent, obtained his commission and was attached to the 3rd Australian Reinforcements. In September, 1915, he joined the 6th Royal Dublin Fusiliers at Salonika, and was reported missing and believed killed in action between 6th and 11th December last.
