Information: Surgeon-Colonel Arthur H. Moorhead A.D.M.S. I.M.S., has died from sickness contracted on active service in France. He was the third son of Brigadier-Surgeon George A. Moorhead, A.M.S., and uncle to Dr. George A. Moorhead, Tullamore, and Dr. Henry Moorhead, Moate. Educated at the University of Edinburgh, he passed into the Indian Medical Service, gaining second place. He served in the Chitral Expedition, the Naziri Expedition, and the Pekin Relief Expedition, and for each was awarded medal and clasp. He was selected to represent the Indian Empire at the International Medical Congress held in America some years ago on bubonic plague. At the outbreak of the war he accompanied the first contingent of Indian troops in the autumn of 1914 to France, and was in medical charge of the Meerut Division. He rendered such services in the reorganisation of the ambulance department, and such fearless aid to the wounded under fire, that his name was mentioned in despatches, and he was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Medical Services.
