Information: Captain Patrick Richard Butler, Brigade Major on Sir Bryan Mahon's staff at Salonika, has been mentioned in despatches for distinguished service. He is a son of the late Lieut. General Sir William Butler, G.C.B., and Lady Butler, Bansha, Co. Tipperary. He was gazetted to the Royal Irish Regiment in 1902, with whom he served in India. He was promoted Captain in 1909. On the outbreak of the war he was appointed A.D.C. to Sir Thompson Capper, commanding the 7th Division. He was wounded in November, 1914, but returned to France in the spring of 1915. and is at present in Salonika.
