Information: Corporal Edward Quinn, Royal Field Artillery, has been recommended for the D.C.M. for gallantry in action at Neuve Chapelle. His battery was under the enemy fire, and their communication wires had been broken by a German shell. All attempts to connect them had failed, when Quinn gallantly made good the breach, and thus saved the British infantry from the fire of their own guns. Corporal Quinn is a son of Mr. Charles Quinn, Ballyrashane, Coleraine. He enlisted in 1897, and came from India with the Indian Expeditionary Force.
