Information: Captain Charles Edmund Ryan, R.F.A., is the fourth son of the late Major C. Ryan, R.A., and of Mrs. Lambert. He was educated at Stonyhurst, and passed from there into Woolwich. On leaving Woolwich he joined the R.F.A. in India, returning with his battery when war broke out, and saw service at St. Elois and Ypres. In May, 1915, he was attached to the Royal Flying Corps, and was wounded in November. 1915. He has been mentioned in despatches and awarded the Military Cross. Another brother, Lieut. K. V. Ryan, is serving with the 4th Royal Dublin Fusiliers, and has been wounded.
