Information: Second Lieutenant George E.B. Lyndon, who has been mentioned in Sir Ian Hamilton's despatch and awarded the Military Cross, is a younger son of the late Robert Lyndon and of Mrs. Lyndon, Mount Salus, Dalkey. He was educated in the Masonic Boys' School and St. Andrew's College. On the outbreak of war Lieutenant Lyndon joined the South Irish Horse as a trooper, but subsequently received a commission in the 6th Inniskilling Fusiliers, and took part in the Suvla Bay operations with the 10th Division.
