Information: Dr. Patrick Cagney, who has been awarded the Military Cross for distinguished conduct in the field, is a son of Mr. M. Cagney, Gibbonsgrove, Charleville, and a graduate of University College, Cork, where he had a brilliant career, capturing the much-coveted Blaney Scholarship in his final exam. Dr. Cagney is a well known Rugby football player. He has served in Flanders for over a year, attached to the Essex Regiment.
