Information: Sergt. Charles L. Taylor, South Irish Horse, has been mentioned in despatches for distinguished service. He was educated at St. Vincent's College, Castleknock, Dublin, and afterwards took up mechanical engineering. He joined the South Irish Horse some years ago, and when war broke out he volunteered for active service, and landed in France on 19th August. 1914. He fought all through the retreat from Mons, and is still on active service in France.
