Information: Lieutenant Robert Harold Bond, King's Royal Rifle Corps, killed in action at the Battle of the Aisne, September 14th, 1914, He was the only son of Colonel R. J. Bond, R.E. He was a keen soldier, and a fine horseman and athlete. He was educated at Wellington College, and joined the 2nd Battalion of the K.R.R.C. in 1903, and was gazetted 1st Lieutenant in 1907.
