Information: Lieutenant John Bloomfield Gough, Royal Horse Artillery, gazetted as 2nd Lieutenant, 1906, and first Lieutenant, 1909. He was the eldest son of the late Col. Bloomfield Gough, 9th Lancers, and of Mrs. Gough of Belchester, Berwickshire. His grandfather, General Sir John Bloomfield Gough, the distinguished Indian soldier, who fought at Sobraon and in the Gawlior campaign, was a member of the family which has given and still gives so many of its sons to the Army. Lieut. Gough was only 28 years of age and was killed in action early in September.
