Information: Major P. A. Charrier, Royal Munster Fusiliers, fell in action while leading his regiment against overwhelming odds. Entered the service in June 1890, obtaining his majority in 1909. He took part in the operations in Ashanti and was mentioned in despatches. He served in the South African War, was employed with the Imperial Yeomanry and was present during the operations in Cape Colony in May, 1902, receiving the Queen's Medal with two clasps, served in East Africa in 1903-1904, served in operations in Somaliland, and was appointed on the staff as special service officer.
