Information: Lieutenant Colonel P. McClear, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, Obtained his commission in 1895, served through the South African War, was present at the Relief of Ladysmith and at Laing's Nek, received the Queen's Medal with five clasps and the King's Medal with two clasps. Served with the West African Frontier Forces from April, 1903, to March, 1908, also in Southern Nigeria, appointed to command the West African Field Forces last April, and commanded the second Brigade of the Nigerian Force in the recent engagement.
