Information: Captain Henry Ouseley Davis, Royal Irish Rifles, eldest son of the late Mr. Henry Davis, of Holywood, Co. Down, was killed in action on October 27th. He was born in 1884, and educated at Protora Royal School, Enniskillen, from which he passed direct into the R.M.C., Sandhurst. He was gazetted to the 2nd Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers in August, 1905. He resigned his commission four years later. On the outbreak of the war he was gazetted as Captain in the Royal Irish Rifles. He was a member of the Headquarter Staff of the Ulster Volunteer Force.
