Information: Captain John de la Hay Gordon, 6th Jut Light Infantry, Indian Army, who has been mentioned in despatches and awarded the Military Cross, is the third son of the late Mr. A. H. Gordon, D.L., of Florida Manor and Delamount, Co. Down, and of Mrs. Gordon, Bidna, North Devon. Capt. Gordon was educated at Sandhurst, and gazetted to the 1st Royal Irish Regiment. He subsequently entered the Indian Army, and was appointed to the 67th Punjabis. He was on leave when the war broke out, and applied for service at the front. He was sent to France, attached to the 6th Juts, and has seen eleven months' service in France, three in Egypt, and recently went to Mesopotamia.
