Information: Lieutenant Douglas Herbert Lewin Fergusson, 79th Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, who died at 17 Park Lane, London, W., on 2nd February, of wounds received in action in France, was the only son of Colonel Herbert Fergusson, C.M.G., Highland Light Infantry, and of Mrs. Fergusson, of 152 Cromwell Road, London, S.W., and grandson of F. T. Lewin. Esq., D.L., of Castlegrove, Co. Galway, and Cloghane, Co. Mayo. He was born on 17th September, 1894, and was educated at Eton College. He served in the Eton College O.T.C., and was stroke oar of the House Boat; entered Sandhurst 1914; was gazetted to the 1st Battalion Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders the following October, and joined his battalion in Flanders.
