Information: Second Lieut. Robert Andrew Ferguson Smyly King, was the eldest son of Canon and Mrs. King, of the Rectory, Limavady, and grandson of the Rev. Robert King, the Irish Church historian, and of the Very Rev. A. F. Smyly, Dean of Derry. He was born in Dublin in 1895, and was educated at Monkstown Park, Dublin, St. Bees, Cumberland and Sandhurst. He was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant and posted to the 2nd Batt. Royal Dublin Fusiliers on November 11th, 1914. He was mortally wounded by a shell, which blew in the dug-out in which he was, on May 10th, and died at Boulogne on May 23rd, 1915.
