Information: Captain Bernard Digby Johns, 10th Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who has been killed in action in France, was the only son of the late Mr. A. C. Johns, of Carrickfergus, and Mrs. French, and a step-son of Mr. J. A. French, of St. Ann's, Donnybrook. Captain Johns was educated at Hatfield Grange, Repton, and Oriel College, Oxford. In September, 1914, he obtained a commission in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, and in July, 1915, was promoted Captain. He went to France in September last, and had just returned to the front after a week's leave when he fell.
