Information: Lieut. Bertram Chiene Letts, R.A.M.C., was the only child of Edmund A. Letts, D.Sc. (Hon.), F.K.S.E. & C., Professor of Chemistry in the Queen's University, Belfast. He was educated at Rossall Preparatory School and Fettes College, Edinburgh; graduated M.B., B.Ch. at Queen's University, Belfast, 1913, and in that year was appointed Junior House Surgeon at the Infirmary, Warrington. On the outbreak of the war he felt it his duty to give his services to his country, and was gazetted Lieutenant in the R.A.M.C. on August 11th, 1915, and was engaged at a clearing station, where he contracted dysentery and died in Alexandria on October 21.
