Information: Captain J.N. MacLaughlin, R.A.M.C., has been mentioned in Sir John French's despatches for distinguished service in the field. At the outbreak of the war he was a Captain in the Special Reserve of Officers, but joined the 15th Field Ambulance and proceeded to France with that unit in August, 1914, taking part in the retreat from Mons, the advance to the Aisne, and was at La Bassée and Ypres. Captain MacLaughlin is the husband of Mrs. MacLaughlin, 13 Queen Street, Londonderry.
