Information: Lieutenant Arthur Hill Neale, 1st Brahmans, was the younger son of the late Dr. William Neale, Mountmellick, Queen's Co., and of Mrs. Neale, of 25 Ormond Road, Dublin. Lieutenant Neale was educated at St. Columba's College, Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin. He entered Trinity College, Dublin, in June, 1906, and in October, 1911, passed his final military examination, obtaining one of the two commissions in the Indian Army annually offered to the University. He was gazetted to the Indian Army, unattached list, in February, 1912, and after one year's service he was gazetted Second Lieutenant in the 1st Brahmans. After about five months' service in France his regiment was transferred to Egypt, and in December, 1915, was attached to the 6th Jats, and was killed in action in Mesopotamia on January 21, 1916.
