Information: Lieutenant John Hammond Edgar M.A. L.L.B., Barrister-at-Law, Newcastle-on-Tyne, was killed in action on February 25th last whilst serving with the 9th Batt. Durham Light Infantry. He was the only son of the late Mr. R. S. Edgar, Dromore, Co. Down, and Mrs. Edgar, 15 Cliftonville Avenue, Belfast. He was educated at Queen's College, Belfast, and the Royal University of Ireland, where he had a brilliant career. He was called to the Bar in 1904 and subsequently practised in Newcastle.
