Information: Corporal Jack Byrne, Royal Flying Corps, has been awarded the D.C.M. for conspicuous gallantry in the management of an aeroplane during action. He is a son of the late Major Byrne, who served in the Indian Mutiny, and a brother of Mrs. Cowan, Nursery avenue, Coleraine. He was a talented member of the Belfast Amateur Company, and toured with Sir J. Forbes Robertson's and Mr. Esme Percy's companies, but on the outbreak of war he joined the Royal Flying Corps.
