Information: Private Edward Willington Shelton, 2nd Battalion Columbian Contingent, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Deane Shelton, Rossmore, Limerick, was severely wounded in action in France on May 16th, 1915, as a result of which his right leg was amputated in hospital at Rouen, but unfortunately he succumbed on June 18th, 1915. Private Shelton was ranching in Western Canada when war broke out but at once joined the 30th Battalion 2nd British Columbian Contingent, with whom he went to France on April 30th, 1915.
