Information: Lieut. Henry Walter Cecil Weldon, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who was killed in action on April 28th last, was the second son of the late Mr. Henry Walter Weldon, Bantry, Co. Cork, and of Mrs. Weldon, Belmont avenue, Donnybrook. He was educated at the High School, Dublin, and subsequently entered the service of the Provincial Bank. On the outbreak of the war he returned from Persia, where he held an appointment, and received his Commission in the East Surrey Regiment, afterwards transferring to the Royal Irish Fusiliers. He went to the front in February, 1916, and had quite recently been promoted.
