Information: Second Lieut. Arthur Gorman Mitchell, Royal Irish Rifles, who was killed in action on May 14th, 1916, was a son of Mr. A. B. Mitchell, M.B., F.R.C.S.I., 18 University Square, Belfast. He was educated at Campbell College and Queen's University, Belfast. On the outbreak of the war he at once volunteered, and received his Commission in the 5th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles. He went to the front in March last and was only in his 19th year when he fell in action.
