Information: Captain William Thomas Lyons, 10th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who was killed in action in France, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lyons, 21 Kersland Drive, Strandtown, Belfast. He was educated at the Methodist College, Belfast, and Royal School, Dungannon. On the outbreak of the war he applied for a Commission, and was gazetted to the 10th (Service) Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He was later promoted Captain, and in September was appointed Adjutant of the Battalion.
