Information: Private J. Henry, Irish Guards, of Swinford, Co. Mayo, has been awarded the D.C.M. for conspicuous bravery. He joined the Irish Guards on the outbreak of the war, was wounded at the battle of Loos, but continued to hurl bombs at the advancing enemy for twelve hours, thus preventing their attack being successful and saving the lives of many of his comrades. Private Henry is in his 27th year.
